CARMICHAELS WOMEN’S CIVIC CLUB is seeking sponsors to purchase wreaths that will be placed on veterans’ graves at Laurel Point Cemetery in Carmichaels. A remembrance ceremony will be held at Laurel Point at noon on Dec. 14, National Wreaths Across America Day, when remembrance wreaths will be placed on graves of fallen veterans at more than 800 locations across the country and overseas. Cost per wreath is $15. Deadline to sponsor wreaths is Nov. 22. Checks should be made to Carmichaels Women’s Civic Club and sent to P.O. Box 453, Carmichaels, PA 15320. CHRISTIAN MEN’S FELLOWSHIP BREAKFAST is held at 6:30 a.m. Wednesdays at Third Presbyterian Church, Union Street, Uniontown with a full breakfast, hymn singing, intercessory prayers and a Gospel-centered message. This week’s guest speaker is the Rev. William Blair, superintendent of the Connellsville District of the United Methodist Church in Pennsylvania.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SERVICES OF SOUTHWESTERN PENNSYLVANIA announces October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The agency provides resources to educate the community on the dangers of domestic violence. FAYETTE VETERANS ADVOCACY ASSOCIATION is sponsoring a vendor show from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at the AMVETS, located at the corner of Walnut and Buttermilk Lane in Hopwood. Chinese auction, bake sale and light refreshments are also available. Proceeds benefit FVAA scholarship and veteran programs.

FLATWOODS FIRE DEPT. will hold a buckwheat supper from 4-7 p.m. Saturday at Frankllin Township Community Center. Cost is adults, $8; ages four to 10, $4; and three and under are free. There will also be a bake sale.

HOPWOOD VILLAGERS will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the South Union Township Municipal Building on Township Drive. Note change of date due to trick-or-treat. Plans for oldies dance with Arnie Amber at the AMVETS on Nov. 9 will be discussed. New members are welcome.

ST. JOHN ALTAR SOCIETY OF PERRYOPOLIS will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the social center. Members on the social committee are Barbara Emricko, chairwoman; Connie Molchan, Sharon Thompson, Linda Smeigh and Brenda Kmetz.

TRINITY UNITED PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 79 W. Fayette St., Uniontown is hosting a SERRV bazaar from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday in the chapel. For more than 60 years, SERRV has worked to eradicate poverty through direct connections with low-income artisans and farmers. Items for sale include jewelry, figurines and household items as well as fair-trade coffee and chocolate.

UNIONTOWN CHURCH OF THE BRETHREN, located at 20 Robinson St., will hold a pancake/buckwheat cake and sausage brunch from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. Eat in or take out. Cost is adults, $7; children three to 10, $3.50. Addition cost for extra sausage. For more information, phone 724-438-8372.
