Gary G. Hayes, 74, of Mount Morris, died at 4:45 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2013, at home.

He was born Sunday, May 21, 1939 in Fairmont, W.Va. He was the son of the late Gail Hayes and Mary Moore Hayes.

Mr. Hayes was Baptist by faith. He enjoyed bartering and trading. He had worked as a custodian for West Virginia University in Morgantown, W.Va. and later he worked for Robena Mine as a security guard.

He is survived by his longtime companion of 30 years, Shirley Dailey.

Also surviving is one daughter, Mary Elizabeth (Joseph) Campbell of Dilliner; two sons, Gary L. Hayes of Mount Morris and Daniel G. Hayes of New Matamoras, Oh.; two foster daughters, Carol Sue Paccona of Waynesburg and Amanda Stoneking of Carmichaels; one foster son, Jason Morris of Crabapple, Pa.; seven grandchildren and one great grandson; eight sisters, Dinah Cumberledge, of Brave, Patty Rogers of Carmichaels, Mary Hicks of Dry Tavern, Connie Zarilla of Morgantown, W.Va., Debbie Triplett of Morgantown, W.Va., Sandra Brown of Carmichaels, Lynn Jaggie of Mt. Morris and Esther Harwood of Carmichaels; and two brothers, Harlan Hayes of Steubenville, Oh. and Sam Hayes of Morgantown, W.Va. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are two brothers, Mark Hayes and Ronald Lee Hayes; and one great grandchild.

At the request of the deceased there will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held at a time and place to be announced. Milliken and Throckmorton FH, Inc. Daryl L.
