Monongahela Valley Hospital (MVH) employees and physicians invite the community to kick off the holiday season at its 28th annual light-up night at 7 p.m. Nov. 19 in the hospital’s outdoor Central Plaza.

A tradition for the Mon Valley community, the evening will feature visits with Santa, Ms. Claus and Frosty the Snowman, plus treats for children, a sing-along and entertainment presented by the Razz-ma-Tazz singers from Ringgold High School.

Guests are encouraged to bring cameras to capture their young ones’ visits with Santa as well as our elaborately decorated two-story Christmas tree.

Hot cocoa and refreshments will also be served, and parking will be free in the hospital’s parking garage beginning at 5 p.m.

“Our staff and physicians truly enjoy this special holiday celebration with the community, and it’s one of my favorite events for our friends and neighbors in the Valley,” said Louis J. Panza Jr., president and CEO of MVH. “This is the second year we’ll literally flip our gigantic light switch — hand-crafted by our maintenance employees — to light the holiday decorations throughout the campus.”

For more information, contact MVH’s Community Relations Department at 724-258-1234.
