Fire destroys house in Uniontown

The state police fire marshal is investigating a fire that swept through an abandoned house in Uniontown this morning.

Uniontown police said they alerted neighbors on either side of the residence at 25 W. Askren St. after finding the front of the house engulfed in flames at 5:04 a.m. Police said they evacuates both adjacent homes until the fire was contained.

Officials said the house was condemned and no one lived there.
