In an effort to increase adoptions for homeless animals in Fayette County, Fayette Friends of Animals is offering free adoption of select adult cats and dogs through Friday.

The cats are from the free roaming cat room and the dogs are part of the Lonely Hearts Club, which are dogs that have been at the shelter for a long period of time. These animals are spayed/neutered and have all necessary shots.

Interested parties must fill out an application and be approved, but the adoption fee will be waived. Voluntary donations are appreciated.

If interested, visit the shelter on Searights-Herbert Road in Menallen Township today, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. The shelter is also open from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday. It is closed Thursday and Sunday. For more information, call the shelter at 724-245-7815.
