Sale of former Great Meadows Amphitheater discussed

The Fayette County commissioners Tuesday moved toward authorizing the county solicitor to discuss a sale of the Great Meadows Amphitheater in Wharton Township with the owner of the former Woodland Zoo.

The commissioners voted 2-1 to place a motion on Thursday's agenda to authorize county solicitor Joseph E. Ferens Jr. to discuss selling the county-owned amphitheater with RMZ Holdings Inc. of Uniontown based on appraisals obtained on the property.
