A Smithfield man is behind bars after police allege he sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl at a location in Point Marion in 2009.

Donald H. Hagner IV, 39, of 505 Old Frame Road was charged today before Magisterial District Judge Randy S. Abraham with four counts of aggravated indecent assault and corruption of minors.

State police Trooper James A. Pierce said the charges were filed after the alleged victim, now 16, reported the assaults to police. The teen told police that when she was 12, Hagner touched her inappropriately at a residence on Second Street.

The Herald-Standard does not identify the victims of alleged sexual assault.

Hagner was placed in Fayette County Prison on $100,000 straight cash bond following his arraignment.

He will face a preliminary hearing at a later date before Abraham.
