Waynesburg man dies in car crash

FRANKLIN TWP. -- State police say a Waynesburg man died this morning following a two-vehicle accident on Smith Creek Road in Franklin Township, Greene County.

Charles Hoyle, 63, was pronounced dead at the scene by Greene County Coroner Mary Lewis, police said.

According to police, Hoyle had been traveling south on Smith Creek Road at around 5:30 a.m. Police said Hoyle’s vehicle entered the northbound lane and collided with a vehicle driven by David Barr, 19, of Fairview, W. Va.

Police said Barr sustained no injuries.
