Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus, secured a spot in the championship match of the Penn State University Athletic Conference women's volleyball tournament with a semifinal win Saturday at the University Park campus.

The local team bested Penn College, 3-1, with game scores of 25-22, 25-19, 20-25 and 25-19. The Roaring Lions (16-2) take on Penn State Mont Alto at 1 p.m. today at PSU's Rec Hall for the championship.

Leah Ambrosini had 19 kills and seven digs for Fayette, while Alex Rossi added 16 kills and eight digs. Meghan Leary had 27 assists and Heather Kelly had 15 kills.

The local team will head to the USCAA national championship tournament in Louisville, Ky., next weekend, regardless of today's outcome, since they are ranked in the USCAA's Top 10.
