Jurors in the public corruption trial of a former Pennsylvania state lawmaker are learning more details about the first prosecution witness' affair with an aide.
Former House Democratic chief of staff Mike Manzo testified Tuesday that his intimate relationship with Angela Bertugli continued after his mid-2005 marriage to co-defendant Rachel Manzo.
The new evidence could harm his credibility with jurors in the trial of former Democratic Whip Mike Veon and three of his ex-aides. Jurors were read e-mails between the two that show them making plans to get together after he was married, seemingly in conflict with Manzo's prior testimony about when their affair ended.
Manzo says he had sexual performance problems but acknowledges their post-wedding relationship "was intimate and it was inappropriate."
