Karen A. (Brown) Zahron, age 53 of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2010 in Uniontown Hospital.

She was born April 4, 1956 in Brownsville, Pa., daughter of Inez (Burnsworth) Brown of Brownsville and the late Kenneth W. Brown, Sr.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by three brothers and a sisters: Ray, Gay, Leroy and Gene.

Karen was an employee of the Uniontown Super Eight Motel.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband George Zahron; two sons: Woodrow Giffin Jr. and his wife Regina of Denbo and Jeffrey Giffin of LaBelle; four grandchildren: Lisa Marie Giffin, Samantha Jo Giffin, Woodrow Giffin III and Cody Tarr; her brothers and sister: Wade Brown of Hiller, Viola Boone of Cleveland, Ohio, Kenneth Brown and wife Barbara of Hiller and John Brown and wife Melvonia of Smithfield and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, New Salem on Saturday, January 9, 2010 from 2 to 8:15 p.m.

A funeral service will follow at 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Roland M. O'Brien officiating.
