Firefighters work to extinguish a fire that caused extensive damage to a house in Saltlick Township on Tuesday evening. The state police fire marshal is investigating the cause and origin of the fire. Cpl. Russell Freed said no one was home when fire broke at 550 Clinton Road. Most of the fire damage was contained to the rear portion of the house. Saltlick Township Volunteer Fire Department and several other area companies assisted in quelling the blaze.
