The Collingsworth Family will be in concert at Pennsville Baptist Church at 6 p.m. Sunday.

Officials said, “Phil and Kim Collingsworth’s entire purpose is to give the talent God has loaned them back to their Creator as a sacrifice of praise.”

Since Phil and Kim Collingsworth’s first engagement together as musicians for a church camp in Petersburg, Mich., in 1986, the ministry has expanded and flourished until it is a full-time livelihood that involves their entire family.

For 14 years, they performed at church camps and extended-length revival campaigns.

In January 2000, they transitioned to a new, all-concert ministry. They began recording professionally and currently exclusively utilize award-winning Nashville producer Wayne Haun.

Their four children are actively involved in the ministry. Their two oldest daughters play violin. Their entire family sings together in an ensemble and their daughter Brooklyn joins them in trio vocals. Kim Collingsworth is known for her mastery of the piano and Phil Collingsworth offers trumpet solos.

The Collingsworth Family recently released a “first” in the Christian music industry: filming two full-length music videos at the famed Music Hall in Cincinnati, Ohio, home of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. They were the first Christian concerts ever to be filmed at a major symphony venue.

In addition, at the personal invitation of Bill and Gloria Gaither, the Collingsworth Family recently appeared on the newest Homecoming Series taping at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tenn.

They have also been added as regulars on many of the Gaither Homecoming Concerts, making appearances with the Gaithers in some of their largest venues in the United States and Canada. Their personal appearance schedule includes all types of venues across the United States and the Cayman Islands.

Pennsville Baptist Church is located off Route 119 between Connellsville and Mt. Pleasant. An offering will be taken. Child care will not be provided for the concert. For more information, please visit our website, pennsvillebaptist.com, or call the church office at 724-887-5200.
