Mon Valley R/C Club

Purpose: Chartered in 1960, members of Mon Valley R/C Club share an interest in learning about and flying radio control remote aviation. Members are able to fly their aircraft daily at Mon Valley Radio Control Airfield at Cedar Creek Park in Rostraver Township and get together for meetings and special events.

Membership: The club has about 85 members who live in Allegheny, Butler, Fayette, Washington and Westmoreland counties.

Meetings and dues: The club meets year-round on the first Friday of the month: 7:30 p.m. from October through April at the Rostraver Township Municipal Building and 7 p.m. May through September at the airfield. Dues are $50 a year for adults and new members pay a $20 initiation fee. Family rates are available. Youths under 18 pay $6 annual dues and no initiation fee. Members must also belong to the Academy of Model Aeronautics. Youth AMA membership is free.
