Cash bash

The Smithfield Volunteer Fire Department is selling tickets for a cash bash may 5. Doors open at 6 p.m. and drawings will start at 7 p.m. Guests must be 21 to attend. For tickets, call Keith at 724-562-4810.

Pirates tickets

The Albert Gallatin Baseball Boosters are offering Pirates baseball tickets for May 5. The game features the Pittsburgh Pirates against the Cincinnati Reds and begins at 7:05 p.m. Tickets can be purchased for $25 from any Albert Gallatin High School baseball player or by calling 724-245-9246.

Pal’s Ladies Auxiliary

The Pals’ Club Ladies Auxiliary monthly meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Committee chairmen are Tina Lowller and Betsy Kopacko. The $5 gift will be donated by Nancy Ferranti.

Reminders

n The McClellandtown Volunteer Fire Co. still has tickets available for its “250” Club ticket. It offers over $7,000 total in cash prizes and plays every Monday from May 14 through Oct. 29 on the Pennsylvania three-digit 7 p.m. number for $100. Additional cash prizes are given during the banquet on Nov. 3. Tickets with four numbers are $55. For additional information, call Art Vaccaro at 724-737-5987.

n The Masontown Knights of Columbus will hold their final Lenten fish fry from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday. Eat in or take-out orders are available and can be phoned to 724-583-8210. Lunch deliveries may be available by request. The Knights will be offering dinners, sandwiches and many side dishes weekly including but not limited to shrimp, baked or fried fish, french fries, slaw, onion rings, haluski, peroghies, mac and cheese, soup and more.

n The McClellandtown Presbyterian Church Cemetery will be undergoing spring cleanup and all decorations must be removed from the grounds by April 13.

Yard sale

The Masontown Community Yard Sale will be held May 19. Start inventorying your items for this event. Last fall, the streets were packed with residents and visitors looking for that special item or an incredible bargain. Remember that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. Start collecting your treasures today.
