Class of 1968
The Frazier High School Class of 1968 will hold its 45th class reunion on Saturday, Sept. 14. They are still searching for some of the classmates. Ethnic dinner
St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church is holding its ethnic dinner from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 28, in the church hall. Adults and children’s meals will be available. The menu consists of kolbasa with sauerkraut, halupky, pirohi, dumpling haluski, green beans, dessert and a beverage. Takeouts will be available. This dinner is sponsored by the Ladies Altar Society and will benefit the church renovation fund.
Dawson
The Lower Tyrone Men’s meeting will be held at 9 a.m. April 27. The group meets at Miedel’s restaurant in Connellsville. A slideshow with pictures gathered over the past three years will be presented. DVD pictures are planned to be available of the Lower Tyrone-Dawson area at Dawson Days and will help the efforts of the honor roll committee.
1957 Reunion
Perry-Lower Tyrone Class of 1957 will be meet at 5:30 p.m. on April 25 at Grill 51 to plan for the 57th reunion next June. Special guest will be Pam Newmeyer, daughter of one of our favorite teachers, Jim Newmeyer. She will bring pictures of her dad and talk about our school days.
Youth Wrestling
Frazier Youth Wrestling was represented at Pennsylvania Junior Wrestling State Championships on March 22 and March 23 by Harry Johnson, Jake Thomas and Rune Lawrence. At this event, Lawrence brought home Frazier’s first medal. He placed second in the 8 and under, 70-pound class.
Eight wrestlers will be going to Columbus, Ohio, for the Ohio Tournament of Champions on April 20. Good Luck to our wrestlers.
Golden Agers
The St. John’s Golden Agers will meet on April 9 at the Perryopolis Senior Center. To eat lunch prior to the meeting, call the center at 724-736-2250 by noon on Monday to reserve your meal. All seniors are welcomed to attend. For more information, call Norma at 724-736-4667.
