Thanks

The Christmas tree decorated on Main Street this past Christmas was once again donated in memory of Babe Leasure by the Leasure family. It was a beautiful tree that greatly enhanced the holiday spirit in Masontown.

Members may enjoy balloon darts, “Left, Right Center,” Penny Ante and more fun activities. A dartball team is active and table games are available anytime.

A Super Bowl party will be held on Feb. 1 and Chinese New Year will be celebrated on Feb. 8. Mardi Gras fun will be on Feb. 12 and a Valentine party will be held on Feb. 14. Kelly from AARP will be available for “You’ve Earned a Say” and Corinna from Golden Living will discuss diabetes wound care on Feb. 21. A fried dough sale will begin on Ash Wednesday and continue every Friday during Lent.

Covered dish dinner

The All Saints Church Planning Committee has planned a covered dish dinner for all parishioners to be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 20, in the church social hall. All parishioners are welcome to attend and are asked to bring a covered dish item to share with others.

The meat and beverages will be supplied by the church. You must indicate that you are planning to attend by signing one of the sheets at the church entrances. Deadline to sign up is Jan. 13.

There will be a meeting of the All Saints Church Planning Committee at 7 p.m. Monday in the St. Benedict’s Center. The group will be planning both spiritual and social activities in the parish for the next three months. Anyone from the parish who wishes to help with the planning is invited to join the group.
