BROWNFIELD UNITED METHODIST CHURCH will have a soup and bake sale 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church located at the corner of Hopwood-Fairchance Road and Brownfield Road. Takeout only will be available.
CHRISTIAN MEN’S FELLOWSHIP BREAKFAST will join with Sweet Frog Frozen Yogurt on Saturday to raise funds for the Center of Hope. Sweet Frog Frozen Yogurt will donate 10 percent of all sales to the Center of Hope from customers that mention the Center of Hope on Saturday.
FAYETTE COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY will open its Made in Fayette Exhibit featuring pottery and stoneware, 6 p.m. Monday at the Abel Colley Tavern Museum, Route 40, Menallen Township. Noted potter, author and teacher Phil Schaltendbrand will open the exhibit with a program on Fayette Decorative and Utilitarian Stoneware. ALLISON CHRISTIAN CHURCH X-FACTOR YOUTH MINISTRY will sponsor its annual gift-basket-and-more party 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the Hiller Volunteer Fire Department. The donation includes food and a beverage. There will be drawings for door prizes every 15 minutes and more than 200 basket items for auction. All proceeds benefit youth mission projects. LAUREL HIGHLANDS CLASS OF 1983 will hold its 30th-year class reunion Nov. 30 at the Pechin Firehouse Restaurant, 311 Laurel Drive, Connellsville. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served at 5 p.m., and dinner will be at 6 p.m.
The committee is seeking to find current contact information for most class members. Anyone who is a class member, friend or relative of one, please send an email or mailing address to Holly Springer D’Amico at damico135@comcast.net.
