32ND ANNUAL CARPATHO-RUSYN CELEBRATION will take place from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church social hall, 201 E. Main St., Uniontown. The celebration features culture, food, entertainment, history, presentations and children’s activities, including storytelling and folk arts. Food includes pirohi, holubki, halushki and sauerkraut, nalesnik (potato pancakes), soups and baked goods. A folk music group performs at 1 and 4 p.m. Slavjane Folk Ensemble dancers and musicians from McKees Rocks, Pa., perform at 3 p.m. Church tours are given at 2 and 4 p.m. Crafts are for sale. The Carpathian Cookery Cookbook of St. John’s parish is available. There is no admission charge. A Divine Liturgy will be held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday and at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Admission is free. AMVETS POST 103 LADIES AUXILIARY announces a visit will be made to South Fayette Nursing Home on Friday. those participating will meet at 2:30 p.m. at the post.

COMEDY FOR A CAUSE WITH FAYETTE BRANCH OF DRESS FOR SUCCESS PITTSBURGH will be held from 7-10 p.m. on Saturday at the Cabaret on West Peter Street in Uniontown. Entertainers include David Kaye, Pittsburgh’s King of Comedy; Tom Musial and Miss Gayle Barren. Tickets are $30 each or $50 for two and include a nacho bar and pizza. TEN COMMANDMENTS DEDICATION/FREE SPEECH RALLY will be held at noon Saturday at Popular Run Church of God of Prophecy near White. Event includes music, free homemade food and the dedication ceremony.

YOUGHIOGHENY WESTERN BAPTIST ASSOCIATION BENEFIT MASS CHOIR will hold its 16th musical concert at 5:40 p.m. on Saturday at YWBA Christian Center, Duck Hollow Road, Uniontown. The Rev. Clifford Carter, pastor of Antioch Baptist Church in Belle Vernon and president of the Pennsylvania State Baptist Convention, is master of ceremonies. The Rev. James Cherry, pastor of First Baptist Church, Pitt Gas, Clarksville, is moderator. Sister Joyce Tracy Wade of Beulah Baptist Church, Smithfield, is chairwoman and choir director. The service includes a memorial tribute to Sister Helen Thomas, who was a choir member. Donation is $7. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
