CALVARY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH is having a creamed chicken and biscuit dinner 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at the church located on Fairchance Road, Morgantown. Takeout will be available. For more information, call the church at 304-594-1982.

FLATWOODS FIRE DEPARTMENT will hold a buckwheat supper 4-7 p.m. Saturday at Franklin Township Community Center. There will also be a bake sale.

BACHELORS OF SOCIAL WORK ASSOCIATION will host a Halloween Dance fundraiser Friday at the Performance Center — Natali Student Union. A children’s hour will be held 4-6 p.m. and will feature dancing, trick-or-treating, gourd decorating and costume contests. An open dance for adults will be 7-11 p.m. and will feature a live performance by Solomon Crow and The Bourbon Valley Boys, various ticket and basket raffles and a chance to win credit toward airline tickets. There is a fee for admission for both events. Proceeds from the adult dance will benefit Unity: A Journey of Hope.

POINT MARION ROTARY CLUB is sponsoring and organizing the annual Autumn/Halloween Parade that will be held 6 p.m. Tuesday. Organizations, bands, marching units, mummers and anyone else interested in participating in the parade is asked to call the rotary at 724-725-5205 for more information. Treats will be given to all costumed mummers, and prizes will be awarded to the best costumes in age categories from pre-school to adult.
