Doug and Ellen Brown of Hopwood are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary today. They were married on October 27, 1973.

Mrs. Brown is retired from the medical records department of Uniontown Hospital, and Mr. Brown is retired from Boilermakers.

They are the proud parents of three children: David Brown, Doug Brown and Krista Shaffer and husband Tommy. The couple also has three grandchildren: Trey Shaffer, Drake Shaffer and Dane Shaffer.

Doug and Ellen will celebrate the occasion today with family.
