SMITHFIELD STEPPING FORWARD will host the annual Smithfield Halloween Parade 3:30 p.m. Saturday. The parade is open to children up to 12 years of age. It will start at Church Street at Mt. Moriah Church and proceed to the Smithfield Fire Department where treats will be given.
UMWA LOCAL 1248 will hold a regular union meeting 10 a.m. Saturday at the district office.
THE THIRD ANNUAL ADAHPALOOZA will be held Nov. 9 at the Adah Volunteer Fire Department. A vendor/craft show will be held 2-5 p.m., the evening’s entertainment will be provided by KingFish and a performance by the band Double Down at 8 p.m. The event will also feature food, drinks and a huge Chinese auction. Proceeds will benefit the Adah Volunteer Fire Department and the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
FAYETTE VETERANS ADVOCACY ASSOCIATION is sponsoring a vendor show noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Hopwood AMVETS Post 103 at the corner of Walnut and Buttermilk Lane. There will also be a Chinese auction, bake sale and light refreshments. Proceeds will benefit the Fayette Veterans Advocacy Association scholarship and veteran programs.
