Toy bash

Nov. 9 — Perry Township Volunteer Fire Department toy bash. Doors open at noon at the Perryopolis Auto Auction. There are two tickets that run simultaneously every five minutes. Tickets are available from any fireman or by calling 724-736-4352. Drawings are 1-7 p.m. The first hour is all cash, every 15 minutes and 2-7 p.m. is toys and cash every five minutes.

Correction

The Perryopolis Bicentennial Committee has “Save the Date” postcards for each class reunion organizer to send to the people on their classmate mailing list. There is room on the postcard to include a message to classmates regarding plans for class get-togethers during the bicentennial. Bicentennial tree planting

The Perryopolis Parks and Recreation Authority (PPRA) in cooperation with the Arbor Day Foundation is sponsoring a tree-planting project for Perryopolis. Borough residents are encouraged to take advantage of the offer to purchase a shade or ornamental tree at a reduced price through the Arbor Day Foundation and plant it as part of the town’s 2014 bicentennial celebration. The trees will be 2 to 3 feet tall and can be ordered through the PPRA. Contact the PPRA at 724-736-2133.
