Anderson
Arnold and Isabelle Anderson of California will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Thursday, April 10, 2014.
The couple was married at the First Presbyterian Church in California. Their parents were the late George and Elizabeth Gibson Harris of California and Gus and Matilda Anderson of Coal Center.
Arnold and Isabelle have three daughters: Kathy Hedden of Sarasota, Fla.; Cindy and her husband, Ken Hall of Oil City; and Christy and her husband, Terry Holliday of California. Grandchildren are Emily Marsella of Wilmington, Del., and Nathan Hall of Pittsburgh.
Mrs. Anderson retired from the California Area School District where she taught first grade. Mr. Anderson retired from Republic Steel, where he was an electrician in the mine and a water treatment plant operator. He also is well known in the area as a former deputy of the Pa. Game Commission. The Andersons are active members of the First Presbyterian Church in California.
The family will gather on Easter Sunday to celebrate the occasion.
