Garden Club donation
Shane Closkey, left, land manager for Energy Corporation of America (ECA), recently presented a check for $500 to Ralph Nicholson and Terri Laird, horticultural chairs of the Town and Country Garden Club, a non-profit club organized in 1951. The club is dedicated to educating the community about planing and designing gardens and also maintains four on-going community beautification projects. The club is currently redesigning its earliest beautification project, the Rices Landing Borough Triangle. ECA has about 20 employees and nearly 200 producing wells in Greene County. Over the last 15 years, ECA has donated around $25 million to organizations in areas where it operates.
