Polish Constitution Day observed
Polish Heritage Club recently conducted its annual observance of Polish Constitution Day at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Everson. The observance included a bi-lingual reflection by the Rev. Lawrence Hoppe, pictured, as well as prayers, hymns and Scripture readings in Polish, a rosary walk and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. Nearly 100 officers, club members and friends gathered to honor the anniversary of the Constitution of Poland, which became law May 3, 1791 and was based on the Constitution of the United States. The Polish Heritage Club has sponsored this event for nearly 20 years.
