Benetta Lee Thomas and Thomas Eric Lee were united in marriage June 7, 2014, at the Greater Works Outreach Church in Monroeville. Pastor Gary Mitrik, Senior Pastor of Greater Works, and Bishop Patrick Thomas of Dale City Church co-officiated at the 2:30 p.m. ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by Gregory Little, family friend; James Thomas, uncle; and Phillip Thomas, brother. Music for the ceremony was provided by Charles Rowe, Greater Works Musician and Ms. Jay Lynn Carter, soloist.
The bride is the daughter of the late Edward L. and Queen Esther Thomas, and the groom is the son of the late Carole J. and Thomas Lee Jr.
Maid of honor was Ms. Josephine Spencer of Arlington, Va. Bridesmaids were Ms. Shannon Lee of Pittsburgh and Ms. Zahara Williams of Pittsburgh. Ms. Aisha Alex Thomas-Pishko of Uniontown served as flower girl.
Robert “Bob” Kitta of Irwin served as best man. Groomsmen were Reginald Matthews of Pittsburgh and Ryan Lee of Pittsburgh. Ushers included: A.J. Asti, John Asti and Thomas E. Lee Jr.
A reception followed the nuptials at the Comfort Inn Suites and Conference Center in Pittsburgh, where music and entertainment was provided by DJ Dermont from HB Productions/Entertainment.
Benetta is employed as Sr. Personnel Security Specialist with the Department of Defense and Thomas is Clinician Supervisor for UPMC, Resolve Crisis Network.
Following a honeymoon in Santa Domingo, Dominican Republic, the couple will reside in the northern Virginia area.
