Give-A-Christmas finishes 2015 campaign with more than $23,000 for Salvation Army
The 2015 Herald-Standard Give-A-Christmas campaign has finished with $23,567.68 raised to benefit the Salvation Army.
“We are so grateful to all of you who donated and participated in the campaign,” said Sparkle, the Christmas star, who is the official mascot. “The funds benefit the Salvation Army serving neighborhoods in the Herald-Standard readership area, and I’m sure they will put the money to good use helping those in need.”
Sparkle added, “While we didn’t make our goal, we know the campaign is going to do a lot of good. We’ve been fortunate to have the support of a lot of wonderful people and organizations who are spreading Christmas cheer through their donations. We are honored by this opportunity to be of help to our community.”
