Greene County salary board approves various motions
The Greene County salary board last week accepted the resignations of Ryan Griffin and Eric Orr, casual sheriff deputies, and approved the hiring of Donald Pope as a casual sheriff deputy.
In other business, the board approved the hiring of Aubrey Holliday as regular full-time confidential judicial administrative assistant effective Feb. 22, Jennifer Withrow as regular full-time court recorder effective Feb. 1, Sheena Smith as regular part-time tip staff effective Feb. 29, and Virginia Mylan and Bernice Fox as casual tip staff.
The board also approved the temporary promotion of Craig Wise to the joint position of chief probation officer and interim domestic relations director effective March 8, and agreed to remove Pam Mason from payroll effective Feb. 1 due to transfer of state employment and Lori Paletta-Davis, domestic relations director, from payroll effective March 4 due to the end of her interim employment agreement.
For children and youth services, the board approved the transfer of Lisa Cogar to a vacant secretary position effective March 7 with no change in salary, and agreed to remove Barbara Stowinsky from payroll effective Feb. 29 due to the end of the temporary position.
For the county jail, the board approved the resignations of Darius Johnson, regular part-time corrections officer, effective Feb. 24; and Kelly Higgins, regular full-time corrections officer, effective March 25.
And for the probation office, the board approved the transfer of Mark Zeiler to regular full-time community service foreman for the courts effective Feb. 1.
