Wharton Township road maintenance release approved
WHARTON TWP. — Supervisors agreed to release a lumber company from a road maintenance agreement that impacted several local roads.
During Monday’s regular meeting, supervisors unanimously approved the road maintenance release for Northwest Hardwoods for their work along Greenbrier and Shaffer School Roads.
In other news, supervisors:
n Agreed to the winter layoffs of summer employees, including those who cut grass and maintained the ballfield.
n Agreed to purchase a used 2007 F150 to replace an F250 damaged in an accident earlier this year. The vehicle will be used for township use, they said.
