About the author
Stephen R. Adams grew up in Uniontown, the third-youngest of nine children, which included only one sister. He graduated from South Union High School in 1956 and Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland with a degree in architecture. He was employed at several architecture firms in Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati, working on residential, commercial and industrial projects of various sizes. He specialized in airport planning and design for several years, including work on a major expansion project for the Cleveland Airport. He spent the final 10 years of his career, teaching architecture at Maryland University. Since retiring in 2004, he has taken numerous photography classes and his work can be viewed at www.steve-adams-gallery.com.
