Cal U to host Commander-In-Chief Forum watch party
The Cal U Veterans will host a Commander-In-Chief Forum watch party tonight 7 p.m. in the Convocation Center on the campus.
NBC News and the Iraq & Afghanistan Veterans of America are jointly presenting The Commander-in-Chief Forum in New York City, where Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump will take questions relating to topics including veterans issues, security and military affairs.
The Cal U Veterans is a club comprised of students who are currently in the military or are veterans. There are 150 active military and veteran students on campus at Cal U.
Robert Prah, director of veterans affairs at Cal U, will serve as moderator at the campus watch party, which is open to students as well as the public.
An hour-long, nonpolitical discussion will be held on the importance of the military and veterans affairs, Prah said.
A brief discussion may follow the forum, Prah said.
The Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America are expected to hold a video conference with the Cal U audience for a few minutes before the forum begins to prepare those attending the watch party for the event.
“This is a great opportunity for military veterans and their families to see where candidates stand on the issue,” Prah said.
