Vince and Mary Ella Good of Uniontown recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married on June 22, 1967, at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Fairchance by Father Aloyius J. Borkowski.
Mary Ella is the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Elaine Leasher. She graduated from Martin County High School in Stuart, Florida, and is retired from the Uniontown Hospital Patient Access Department after 21 years.
Vince is the son of the late Stanley and Anna Good. He graduated from Fairchance-Georges High School. He also has a B.S. degree in laboratory medicine and was an instructor in the Allied Health Department for the Allegany College of Maryland. Vince retired from Uniontown Hospital as lab director after 34 years and also from Somerset Hospital as lab director after 7 years.
The couple has two children: Kimberly Ann O’Brien and husband Chris and Vincent “Shawn” Good and wife Melissa. They are also the proud grandparents of two grandchildren, Jordan and Braeden O’Brien and two step-grandchildren, Scotty and Maggie Cooper.
An anniversary dinner was hosted by their children for family and friends in observance of the occasion.
