State Rep. Ryan Warner (R-Fayette/Westmoreland) will recognize local veterans with a special breakfast.

The Veterans Appreciation Pancake Breakfast will be held 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 4 at the D.L. & V. Volunteer Fire Department, 378 Leisenring Vanderbilt Road, Vanderbilt.

“This breakfast is just a small way to say thank you to our veterans for all they have done to protect our freedoms,” Warner said. “While we can never fully repay our debt of gratitude to these men and women, it is important to honor them in any way we can. With Veterans Day just a week after my breakfast, this time of year gives us a chance to reflect on the valuable contributions our veterans have made on our behalf.”

All veterans of the 52nd Legislative District and a guest are welcome to attend the breakfast. Those interested are asked to RSVP by Oct. 31 to Warner’s district office at 724-437-1105. Information for veterans from state and federal agencies also will be available.

The 52nd Legislative District includes the city of Connellsville; Dawson, Dunbar, Everson, Perryopolis, Seven Springs, South Connellsville and Vanderbilt boroughs; Bullskin, Connellsville, Dunbar, Lower Tyrone, Menallen, North Union, Perry, Saltlick and Upper Tyrone townships in Fayette County, along with Scottdale Borough, and part of East Huntingdon Township in Westmoreland County.
