George W. Strauch celebrates 100th birthday
George W. Strauch celebrated his 100th birthday on March 28.
He was born in Helen, Pa, and was raised in Keisterville. He graduated from Uniontown High School in 1937. George is a World War II veteran, honorably discharged from the Air Corps as a Staff Sergeant in 1946.
He married the former Sarah Virginia Waggett, also of Keisterville, later that year. They moved to Barberton, OH, when George was hired by B&W Company.
They raised three daughters, Rebecca, Kathy and Dotty.
He has three grandchildren and is great-grandfather to nine.
