Technology upgrade planned at Uniontown McDonald’s location
The McDonald’s restaurant located at 421 W. Main St. in Uniontown will soon undergo a renovation that will feature a new level of choice, engagement, service and a brand new PlayPlace.
Although the dining room will be closed, the restaurant will continue to serve customers throughout the transformation. The drive-thru window will remain open during the renovation, as well as the McDonald’s Mobile Order & Pay App that provides curbside service.
“We’re building a better McDonald’s for our customers,” said Art Alamo, the restaurant’s owner/operator. “We’re making long-term investments so McDonald’s will be even more easy, convenient and, of course, delicious.”
The redesigned restaurant will evolve how customers order, how they pay and how they’re served. Featuring digital menu boards, digital self-order kiosks, table service in the dining room, and a modernized indoor PlayPlace, this new restaurant model has been successfully rolled out in thousands of McDonald’s restaurants around the world. Construction is expected to be completed in early August.
Alamo also emphasized that the restaurant’s new technology will create greater need for customer service personnel. He hopes to add at least 20 local residents to the restaurant’s crew in the next few weeks.
“We’re grateful for the strong support McDonald’s has received from this community for many years,” said Alamo. “That’s why we’re making sure the new building is even more comfortable and convenient for our customers.”
