The Brownsville Area Ministerial Association’s “Food for Falcons” program is collecting pudding cups and meat sticks in November and December. There will be a donation area in each participating BAMA church. Items will be gathered and taken to the Brownsville First Christian Church to be packed and sent home with selected elementary students.

The Greater Uniontown Chorale will present “On This Shining Night: A Cantata for Christmas” at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, at Newell United Methodist Church; 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2, at First Baptist Church of Fairchance; 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, at Philip G. Cochran United Methodist Church, Dawson; and 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, at Trinity United Presbyterian Church, Uniontown.

Masontown Community Kitchen will be open Tuesday, Dec. 3 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. The menu will be a choice of sloppy Joe or hot dog, mac-n-cheese, baked beans, homemade desserts, and bread. The soup kitchen is sponsored by the Klondike Clergy Association and is made possible from the contributions of the volunteers from the areas’ churches. Everyone is invited to come and share the free meal and Christian fellowship in the dining hall of the First Presbyterian Church, 102 W. Church Ave., Masontown. The partner parishes of St. Peter and St. Cecilia will be hosting a Breakfast with Santa on Sunday, Dec. 15 at St. Mary’s Social Hall, 118 Church St., Brownville, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

On the second and fourth Thursdays of each month at 11 a.m., Abundant Life Church, 1239 Brownfield Road, Uniontown, holds a support group for those who have lost a spouse. All are welcome. For additional information, call 724-425-9700.

The Greater Uniontown Chorale is holding practices for its upcoming Christmas concerts, and new members are welcome. Practices are Mondays from 7 to 9 p.m. at Trinity United Presbyterian Church, 79 W. Fayette St., Uniontown. There are no auditions but members must be able to read music. Adults 55 and older can take part in free chair yoga classes offered by Amy King Allegra. No prior experience is required, though participants should wear stretchy clothing. Classes are offered the first Wednesday of the month at noon at Connellsville Senior Center, 100 E. Fayette St., Connellsville; second Tuesday of the month at 10:30 a.m. at Senior Life Uniontown, 89 W. Fayette St., Uniontown; and the third Monday of the month at 10:30 a.m. at Bullskin Senior Center, 52 Medsger Road, Connellsville.

On Mondays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., the addiction recovery ministry There is Hope will be held at Malden Christian Fellowship, 343 Old National Pike, Brownsville. Fort Burd United Presbyterian Church, 200 Thornton Road, Brownsville, is holding a weekly prayer group on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. The public is invited.

Malden Christian Fellowship, 343 Old National Pike, Brownsville, is holding a weekly women’s meeting on Thursdays from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Discussion will be about issues like depression, anxiety, grief and eating disorders.
