The Brownsville Area Ministerial Association’s “Food For Falcons” food program is collecting peanut butter sandwich crackers and Pop-Tarts in May and June. There will be a donation area in each participating BAMA church.
The Masontown Community Kitchen will be open Tuesday, May 13 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. The menu will be cream chicken with noodles, vegetables, homemade desserts and bread. The kitchen is open every other Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church, 102 W. Church Ave., Masontown. Dinners are provided without charge for everyone, and donations are accepted. Help is needed with unloading the food bank truck at First Christian Church, 512 Second St., Brownsville, on Friday, May 16 at 9 a.m. The food bank is on Saturday, May 17, from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
Denbeau Heights Christian Church, 142 East End Road, Brownsville, is holding an indoor/outdoor rummage sale on Friday, May 16, Saturday, May 17, and Sunday May 18, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
There will be a food bank at Pleasant View Presbyterian Church 533 Royal Road, Smock on Saturday, May 17 at 10 a.m.

The St. Vincent de Paul-sponsored food bank will be held on Wednesday, May 21 at the parking lot of the St. Mary’s Social Hall, 118 Church St., Brownsville from 11 a.m. to noon. Families wishing to sign up on the distribution day will need to bring photo identification, the date of birth of each person in the household, and verification of address.
On the second and fourth Thursdays of each month at 11 a.m., Abundant Life Church, 1239 Brownfield Road, Uniontown, holds a support group for those who have lost a spouse. All are welcome. For additional information, call 724-425-9700.
Adults 55 and older can take part in free chair yoga classes offered by Amy King Allegra. No prior experience is required, though participants should wear stretchy clothing. Classes are offered the first Wednesday of the month at noon at Connellsville Senior Center, 100 E. Fayette St., Connellsville; second Tuesday of the month at 10:30 a.m. at Senior Life Uniontown, 89 W. Fayette St., Uniontown; and the third Monday of the month at 10:30 a.m. at Bullskin Senior Center, 52 Medsger Road, Connellsville.
On Mondays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., the addiction recovery ministry There is Hope will be held at Malden Christian Fellowship, 343 Old National Pike, Brownsville.
