Submitted Donald Fenton, a respiratory therapist at WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital, was honored for going above and beyond with patients.

Donald Fenton, a respiratory therapist of WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital’s cardiopulmonary services, was recently honored with The BEE Award for Extraordinary Team Members. The BEE Award, which stands for Being Extraordinary Every day, recognizes employees whose behind-the-scenes efforts create a powerful impact on our culture and community.

Fenton’s nomination tells of his commitment to patients through thoughtful gestures, specifically mentioning a patient with intellectual disabilities who mentioned they wanted raisings. Fenton asked his wife to purchase raisins and bring them to the hospital for the patient.

Nominations for the BEE Award are open to all nursing care assistants, techs, emergency department associates and medical assistants. Winners receive a commemorative pin, a personalized thank-you, and a feature across company channels.
