The Brownsville Area School Board approved district’s special education report for July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2222 during the meeting this month.

According to Superintendent Dr. Keith Hartbauer, the district will use this report as a template for its special education programming the next three years.

In other business, the board:

= Approved the sale of delinquent tax liens to the Municipal Revenue Service.

= Approved a tax anticipation note from First National Bank.

= Approved a contract between Highlands Hospital Center for Autism and Brownsville School District.

= Accepted the independent auditor’s report, which was conducted by Zelenkofske & Axelrod LLC for Brownsville School District for the year ending June 30, 2018. The report is on display in the district’s Business Office.

= Approved a resolution to support two new cyber charter school amendments, in the hope that the legislature will make this system more equitable for schools across the state.

= Approved terms and conditions for CSNE Combustion Services address humidity issues at the Elementary School. The district will pay $38,850 from the Capital Projects Fund.

= Hired Stewart Davis as new boy’s head basketball coach at a compensation of $6,000.
