AG JROTC cadets participate in 5k that honors 9-11 first responders

Cadets from Albert Gallatin High School JROTC participated in the Stephen Siller 5k in New York that honors first responders, EMT, firefighters, police and service members of the Armed Forces affected by the events of Sept. 11, 2011. The race is named after Stephen Siller, a firefighter who perished when the World Trade Center towers collapsed. Several hundred JROTC cadets from across the services (Army, Air Force, Marines) were involved in holding banners honoring the first responders and service members who died in the aftermath of 9/11. Albert Gallatin High School JROTC ran in the race that traces Siller’s steps to reach the towers, giving the students a better understanding of the challenges Siller and other first responders faced.
