Connellsville CTC students work on projects for Connellsville and Vanderbilt

The ninth-, 10th- and 11th-grade carpentry students at Connellsville Career and Technology Center recently finished two community projects. They built eight 8-foot picnic tables for the city of Connellsville and four 7-foot park benches for the borough of Vanderbilt. Officials said, “Not only are they learning and strengthening their carpentry skills, but they are learning to work efficiently as a team. Projects like these also have a way of instilling a sense of pride and concern for the community in which we work and live.” Pictured are (from left) left side: Dalten Shawley, Andrew Williams, Amber Johnson, Charles Wood and Mason Radolec; right side: Brandon Lawrence, Gage Horvath, David Koontz and Matthew Lint.
