FROM THE SUBMITTER: George Puskar is making a difference in Connellsville. He has been a member of the Connellsville Lions Club since 1969. He has held many different positions in the Lions Club and has served as Treasurer for over 15 years. George has helped lead several club projects over the years, such as running the concession stands at the Falcon Stadium. Currently, he organizes the summer concert series at Lions Square. These free concerts happen every Sunday during the summer and George books the bands and seeks donations to offset the costs for the bands. With his wife Janet, he helps organize the meals for the Fall Foliage Race (a major fundraiser for the Yough River Trail Council) and serves the participants as they finish. And for fun, he likes to play guitar on blue grass nights at the Brownfield Community Center. George never seeks accolades and works quietly behind the scenes making a difference in Connellsville.
