More donations come in to Give-A-Christmas campaign

Sparkle the Christmas Star

Total: $3,623

Goal: $20,000

A number of contributions have come in to support the Give-A-Christmas campaign.

“How amazing!” exclaimed Sparkle, the campaign mascot. “Thank you all so much for donating to help the local service centers of The Salvation Army.”

All funds raised stay local, supporting those in Fayette County who need a helping hand.

The final amount raised by the campaign will be announced in the Christmas Eve edition of the Herald-Standard. Donations can be dropped at the newspaper’s office or mailed. Information on how to do both is below.

Contributions for the Sparkle campaign will be accepted through Dec. 23 and can be mailed to Give-A-Christmas, c/o Herald-Standard, 8 E. Church St., Uniontown, Pa., 15401. Checks should be made out to Give-A-Christmas. Additionally, donations may be dropped off at the newspaper office Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Watch for periodic updates on where the campaign stands in the Herald-Standard and on heraldstandard.com. The grand total raised will be announced in the Christmas Eve edition of the newspaper.
