The Pennsylvania State Police are offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to the apprehension of a Connellsville teen charged with criminal homicide.

An arrest warrant was issued for Braedon Dickinson, 18, after he allegedly shot and killed Lemaur Thompson Jr. on Dunlap Street in Uniontown on Feb. 5.

Police alleged surveillance footage taken shortly after 5 p.m. showed the men walking together before Dickinson pulled out a gun and shot Thompson, 20, in the middle of the street.

Dickinson then went through Thompson’s pockets, Fayette County District Attorney Mike Aubele said last week. While authorities couldn’t determine from the footage if Dickinson took anything, Thompson was found without a wallet, cellphone or identification, according to state police.

While the motive was unknown, Dickinson and Thompson both had ties to local gangs, Aubele said.

Police believe Dickinson is armed and dangerous.

He is described as being 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds and having brown eyes and black hair. Police said he might be driving a blue Jeep Compass.

His most recent address is 326 Narrows Road in Connellsville, police said. He also has connections in the areas of Monessen, New Kensington and Morgantown, W.Va., police said.

Dickinson faces charges of criminal homicide, robbery inflicting serious bodily injury, possession of a prohibited firearm and recklessly endangering another person.

Dickinson was previously charged with a homicide in Westmoreland County when he was 14. He was one of seven people accused of involvement in the 2022 killing of Jason Raiford, 39, in New Kensington. While Dickinson was initially charged as an adult, the case was transferred to juvenile court.

In addition to the current homicide case, Dickinson also has two prior cases active in Fayette County. In an Oct. 13 incident, he is accused of fleeing police in a stolen car. He is also charged with possession of a prohibited firearm after a traffic stop on Dec. 28.

At the time of the Feb. 5 shooting, he was free on bond after posting a combined $30,000 on Jan. 12.
