Financial literacy workshop offered

Laurel Highlands School District will hold a Financial Literacy Family Summit 5:30-8 p.m. Sept. 25 at Laurel Highlands High School that offers financial workshops designed to help families plan financially for their future. The event will offer a la carte workshops that attendees can select to fit their needs. Topics will be delivered by local professionals and include investing, accounting, saving, insurance and real estate.

Families are encouraged to bring their children. The event will include refreshments, games and door prizes. Each child will receive a free book and a piggy bank. The event is free and open to the public. Registration: https://lhsdfederalprograms.eventbrite.com.

Information sessions

Waynesburg University will host Saturday Information Sessions for prospective students on Sept. 28 and Dec. 14. Visitors will meet with admissions counselors to review the admissions process and financial aid information, tour campus with a student ambassador and eat lunch in the Benedum Dining Hall. Homecoming set

Waynesburg University will host its annual homecoming celebration Oct. 4-5. All alumni, staff, faculty and students are invited to attend.
