3 min read

The Greater Uniontown Chorale will take the audience on a musical journey with a concert entitled “Let’s Go to the Movies” at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at the State Theatre Center for the Arts in Uniontown. The evening will span eight decades of favorite movie songs, including “Singin’ In the Rain,” “The Way We Were,” “The Last Time I Saw Paris,” “Where the Boys Are” and “Night Fever.”

Chorale members will be wearing their Broadway attire for the event.

The chorale performs under the direction of William M. Dreucci. Dreucci founded the chorale 27 years ago with the goal of bringing musical and dramatic entertainment to Fayette County.

Dreucci is director of music at Asbury United Methodist Church in Uniontown. He is a retired public school music educator and public relations coordinator, having served with the Beth-Center School District for 34 years.

Accompanying the chorale is Joanna L. Ball. She has been with the chorale for 15 years and has accompanied the group in a variety of performances, including classical, spiritual, folk, show tunes and contemporary.
