Cruise night to roll into Mount Pleasant on Aug. 16
MOUNT PLEASANT – The Mount Pleasant Glass & Ethnic Festival Committee will present its annual fund-raising event, Mount Pleasant Cruise Night, on Friday, Aug. 16, at Frick Park in Mount Pleasant. Gates will open to drivers at 6 p.m. with admission by donation. Dash plaques will be distributed to the first 100 drivers.
Gates will open to the public at 7 p.m. with a $2 donation.
Children under 12 years of age will be admitted free.
Attractions this year will be a model car contest for all ages with trophies donated by Wood’s Jewelry of Countryside Plaza in Mount Pleasant awarded to the winners.
D.J.’s The Slamming Vikings, Brian Hare & Scott Dawley will provide “oldies” music as entertainment during the event.
Throughout the evening, food and beverages will be sold.
Prizes will be awarded to the winners, and a 50/50 drawing will be held in which winners must be present.
The rain date for the event will be Friday, Aug. 23.
Davies Ford of Connellsville is the sponsor for the cruise night event.
The glass and ethnic festival will be held Friday through Sunday, Sept. 27-29.
