The Timm Biery Band will perform Saturday from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the Highland House in Uniontown. The band plays a mix of blues, rhythm and blues and blues-based rock. Biery is a world-class drummer, who has toured with such artists as Mahogany Rush, Deanna Bogart, Cory Hart, Paul Reed Smith and the late Danny Gatton. He is currently on hiatus with the Nils Lofgren Band. Other members of the band are Jerry Onesi on bass guitar and vocals, Paulette Schulze on vocals and Eric Schulze on guitar.

Uniontown Art Club’s 75th anniversary celebration will be held on Saturday at the Uniontown Public Library. The statue unveiling and dedication and viewing of the memorial bricks will be held at 2 p.m. Uniontown Art Club members will hold an art exhibition at 3 p.m. followed by an awards ceremony at 5 p.m. The exhibition will continue throughout the week.

“Facing Farces,” a new show by Pittsburgh artists Trinity Rutan and Cobia Czajkoski, will open at 2 p.m. Sunday at 64 Crayons Cultural Center, which is located on the third floor of the Thompson House at 815 Water St., Brownsville. A collection of photographs, paintings, pen and ink drawings, the collaborative exhibit centers around a theme of “embodying the impulse toward self-realization.” The artists will attend the opening from 2 to 5 p.m. The exhibit will remain on the walls in 64 Crayons through mid-September. West Virginia Public Theatre (WVPT) will present its final show of the 2002 summer season, Meredith Wilson’s Broadway musical classic, “The Music Man,” through Sunday. Performances will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.

Evening on the Summit: “Heartstrings – Celtic and a Touch of the Classic” will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Outdoor Amphitheater, Allegheny Portage Railroad National Historic Site, 110 Federal Park Road, Gallitzin, (at the Gallitzin exit of Route 22). Heartstrings performs “Celtic-inspired American music.” This Hollidaysburg-based band features violin, hammered dulcimer, guitar and vocals.

Admission is $2 for those 17 and older. Children are admitted free.

The Community Band South under the direction of Dean Streator and James Bennett will perform in front of Town Hall at 7 p.m. Sunday. The band’s members include Upper St. Clair and Bethel Park residents, who enjoy continuing their band experience beyond high school and college. The concerts are free, however, donations will be accepted as Boy Scout Troop 372 passes the hat. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be held in the auditorium of Town Hall.
