Car show, hog roast slated for this weekend
The 31st annual McClellandtown Volunteer Fire Company car show and hog roast will be held Sunday at firemen’s field, which is located along Route 21 in McClellandtown. Registration of vehicles begins at 11 a.m. All classes of antique, classic rod and custom are welcome. The registration fee for cars being shown is $5 and includes a commemorative plaque for the first 200 registrants.
General admission to the event is free, and the public is invited. In addition to an estimated 200 cars, a flea market, pony rides and small games of change will be offered.
Music will be provided by Joe’s Dusty Discs. Pork sandwiches, barbeque chicken, hot dogs, sausage sandwiches, baked goods and cold refreshments will be available.Sept. 11 memorial flags and pins will be offered for sale by the fire company.
